Day 1: Seattle Sights and Sounds

Morning – Coffee and Culture

Start your day with a coffee from a local roaster like Elm or Milstead & Co. Then wander through Pike Place Market. Watch the fish fly, browse local goods, and grab a quick breakfast—maybe a bag of mini donuts or fresh pastries from Piroshky Piroshky.

Midday – Waterfront + Views

Take a ride on the Seattle Great Wheel or explore the Seattle Aquarium. Then head to Kerry Park for that postcard-perfect skyline view with Mount Rainier in the background. For lunch, try a classic salmon sandwich or Dungeness crab roll at Taylor Shellfish.

Afternoon – Museums or a Ferry Ride

Check out the Museum of Pop Culture or take a ferry to Bainbridge Island for incredible views and a laid-back island vibe. The ride alone is worth it, especially around sunset.

Evening – Capitol Hill Nightlife

End your first day in Capitol Hill with dinner and drinks. Spinasse is perfect for handmade pasta, or go casual with dumplings at Din Tai Fung. Afterward, check out a live show or rooftop bar.

Day 2: Mountains and Lakes in the Cascades

Morning – Head to Leavenworth

Wake up early and make the scenic 2.5-hour drive to Leavenworth. Stop along the way for coffee in Cle Elum or to stretch your legs in the forested trails near Snoqualmie Pass.

Midday – Explore Leavenworth

This Bavarian-style town is known for its alpine charm, local beer, and mountain views. Walk the downtown streets, grab lunch at a German pub, and browse shops for handmade goods and local wine.

Afternoon – River Walks or Easy Hikes

Stroll the Wenatchee River Trail or hike Icicle Gorge for forested views and mountain air. In summer, try tubing or paddleboarding; in winter, enjoy snowshoeing or sledding.

Evening – Mountain Lodge Vibes

Have dinner at Yodelin or Mana and settle in at a local lodge, Airbnb cabin, or rustic inn with a hot tub under the stars.

Day 3: Waterfalls and Wine Country

Morning – Drive Through Tumwater Canyon

As you leave Leavenworth, drive west through Tumwater Canyon—especially stunning in fall. Then detour south toward Snoqualmie Falls, one of Washington’s most iconic waterfalls. It’s just a short walk from the parking area and a must-see photo op.

Midday – Wine Tasting in Woodinville

On your way back toward Seattle, stop in Woodinville Wine Country. With over 100 wineries and tasting rooms, you can sip everything from bold reds to crisp whites. Chateau Ste. Michelle and DeLille Cellars are standout options.

Afternoon – Final Stops or Seattle Return

If time allows, swing through Gas Works Park or the Fremont neighborhood for one last taste of quirky Seattle. Grab dinner before you head out or catch your flight.

This 3 day Washington itinerary packs in a little bit of everything: city life, mountain charm, riverside peace, and even a taste of the wine scene. It’s flexible, scenic, and gives you just enough time to fall in love with the Pacific Northwest.
